For Mixed Reality you need two Realities and a mixer. One Reality you have right by your hand. The other reality comes from the computer, some wireframe dinosaur from a jurassic park, a 3d model of a flower (see below) or the 3d model of Mondrians pipe. The Mixer:  - Hardware: I this case a Tablet PC from HP "TC1100" and a webcam mounted at the back of the Tablet PC looking away from the PC. The Camera is connected to the Tablet PC.  - Software: ARToolkit». A wonderful piece of software. ARToolkit will get a picture from the webcam. It checks for some known black and white marker . It measures the edges and calculates out of this the position, orientation and size in space. The data is taken to transform a 3d model so that it will appear on the right position on top of the picture. You should be able to run the original project Software on your PC (windows). Or buy my HP TC 1100 you have seen on the exhibition Fotos inclusive preinstalled Webcam, some Markers in different sizes.
