For Mixed Reality you need two Realities and a mixer. One Reality you have right by your hand. The other reality comes from the computer, some wireframe or a 3d model of a flower (see below) or the 3d model of Mondrians pipe. The Mixer:  - Hardware: I this case a Tablet PC from HP "TC1100" and a webcam mounted at the back of the Tablet PC looking away from the PC. The Camera is connected to the Tablet PC.  - Software: ARToolkit». A wonderful piece of software. ARToolkit will get a picture from the webcam. It checks for some known black and white marker . It measures the edges and calculates out of this the position, orientation and size in space. The data is taken to transform a 3d model so that it will appear on the right position on top of the picture. You should be able to run the original project Software on your PC (windows).
